Media Coverage
I resisted creating a media page for a while. I prefer to avoid the limelight and remain anonymous. But here I am creating a media page. You might ask ‘then why did you create this web page?’ The simple and truthful answer is that it’s about education, conservation, and fishing. I see a large and growing gap between the science that is being done and the people who are being affected by the science. Fishermen, for example, are forever impacted in some way by the fish science that is being conducted, but by and large are not really exposed to good explanations of that science. Part of this is because, overall, scientists (of any stripe) are not very good at communicating to non-scientists. I say this as a scientist. And I don’t say it to offend. That’s just the way it is. So with this web site, my books, and talks, I try to bridge that gap.

OK, that long-winded explanation aside (see, I am a scientist), I’ve now created a page that will provide links to media in which I’ve appeared. I often get questions about where and when these stories appear, so this page will answer those questions. I can't go back in time too far, since many stories change URLs when archived, so the links go dead. It's also possible that some of the links I provide will go dead. If so let me know and I will try to find the new URL where the article is stored.

I’m also using this page to provide links to videos and articles that explain some of the science I am doing. I’ve been fortunate to work with some videographers and others that are as interested in conservation as me. So this is a way to provide them some viewers as well.

Links will be updated as new items are available, which is on a completely unpredictable basis, and are listed in no particular order. If you know of coverage that I don't include here, please let me know.
