Flatwing Streamer

flatwing streamer

Materials:
Hook - Mustad 34007, size 2/0
Thread - White flat waxed nylon
Tail - sparse white bucktail, over which is one white hackle (tied flat), over which is sparse chartreuse bucktail.
Body - Silver tubing (mylar or similar material that can be found in most craft stores)
Wing - Sparse olive bucktail

Comments: This pattern was inspired by Ray Bondorew, author of Stripers and Streamers, who ties a number of flatwing streamer patterns. This pattern worked well for me while site-fishing on the flats of Monomoy, as well as on dead drifts through tidal rips on Cape Cod.
